Leading Experts to Offer Advice and Guidance on March 5 at noon Pacific
Small businesses can get an in-depth understanding of how the recently signed
economic stimulus bill can benefit them at an online Town Hall forum on March 5
hosted by Intuit Inc.
As part of the company's Small Business United initiative, the forum will bring together experts to discuss how small businesses can succeed in the economic downturn and take advantage of what the stimulus package has to offer. The online event begins at 12 p.m. Pacific time.
Raymond Keating, author and chief economist of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council, will open the session by discussing the major points affecting small businesses in the stimulus bill. Keating writes and speaks on a wide range of issues impacting the entrepreneurial sector of the economy, including a weekly newspaper column for 'Long Island Business News' and Dolan Media Company. He will be joined by other experts to offer their perspectives and answer attendees' questions, including:
- Anita Campbell, CEO of Small Business Trends, an award-winning Web site that provides information and intelligence about the small business market and business trends affecting that market.
- John Jantsch, marketing and digital technology coach, award-winning social media publisher and author of 'Duct Tape Marketing: The World's Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide.'
- Kelly Spors, small business columnist at the 'Wall Street Journal' and lead writer for the blog: Independent Street. Her
'Small Talk' column gives expert advice to readers' questions on starting
or running a small business.
Those wishing to attend the event can go to the Intuit Community Small Business Town Hall Web page to register, or search for 'Small Business Town Hall' on Facebook. Intuit has also created an information page that includes links to other resources to help small businesses understand the federal stimulus bill. This page will be updated with new material as it becomes available.
